Drottningholm visit

Bonjour mes chers amis,
Ce week end nous avons fait un tour de plus à Ikea! Et oui, nous devrions pouvoir rester plus longtemps dans notre appart (nous étions censé le quitter fin Mai). Ainsi, nous comptons recevoir nos amis et nos famille dans le max de confort possible, et pour ce, nous sommes allés jeter un oeil chez Ikea pour trouver un badsoffa : )
Nous avons trouvé le même que celui que nous avions à Sydney, très pratique. Sinon nous nous sommes équipé de rideaux sombre et épais pour le salon où nous dormirons lorsque nous recevrons nos invités; en effet les nuits allant vers de plus en plus courtes donc de plus en plus clair, nous allons en avoir bien besoin.

Dimanche a été plus intéressant: visite du (second) palais royal, ou du moins des jardins du palais, qui se trouve à Drottningholm. Cette propriété royale est en fait la réelle demeure de la famille royale de Suède contrairement à Gamla stan, au coeur de la city, qui n'est utilisée qu'occasionnellement.
Drottningholm se situe sur une île à l'ouest du centre ville, facilement accessible avec métro + bus ou bateau of course!
C'est un endroit charmant où nous avons fait une belle promenade dans les jardins du palais mais aussi dans la forêt alentour. Nous y avons fait un picnic aussi. Et sur le chemin du retour, un petit stop pour un café accompagné de gauffres à la crème et à la confiture dans les jardins du palais: c'était "royal" si j'ose l'expression : )

Voilà, un petit week end simple et sympa! Visite de Drottningholm à refaire absolument en été pour profité des jardins bien fleuris et feuillus. Il me tarde de voir ça!

Hello my dear friends,

Last weekend, a new visit of Ikea: need a soffa-bed for the living room as friends and family are coming soon and as we've just received the good news about being able of staying longer in this flat (originally, we were supposed to leave this appart end of May). We find also some dark and thick blinds for the living room, as we'll sleep there while receiving guests, and with the nights becoming shorter and shorter and so clearer and clearer, we're going to need this kind of equipment!

Sunday: more relax. Visit of the other royal palace at Drottningholm, on an island located in the west of Stockholm. This island is easily accessible by boat or subway + bus. This is where the royal family actually lives all the year. They use only occasionaly the Royal Palace that is in the center of the city, at Gamla Stan.

Drottningholm is a lovely place: we walked in the royal gardens and also in the "royal" forest. We had a picnic there, very nice. Then, back in the royal gardens, we stopped in a small café where we had a café with waffles + cream + jam. Mmmmmmmmmm........... soooooooooooo good!!! Furthermore, we could take it outside yesterday, as the sun was shinning and temperature was fine at the beginning of the afternoon.
I'm looking forward to going back there during summer as all the flowers will be out and the trees will be green!
